this is me
alison
aka 'mrs stuff and nonsense'
and my husband
chad
we are the imperfect parents
of 4 sweet children
who don't always look like this
really
15 years ago i was smart enough
and fortunate enough
to marry the most precious
man in my world
he leads our family with strength
humility
patience
love
joy
rugged good looks
we make our home in southwestern pa
which means we bleed black and gold
seriously
actually
actually
i haven't tested that theory
but i'm pretty sure it's true
we call Jesus Christ our Saviour
which means we are living in grace
striving daily
to serve Him and glorify His Name in everything we do
in a nutshell
this means that I realize I am a sinner by birth
but redeemed by the perfect sacrifice and resurrection of the one and only Savior
Who died on a cross
and rose again
after three days in the grave
if the previous sentence sounds like absolute jibberish to you
then we need to talk
i am a mostly stay-at-home mom
and 7 years ago
the Lord called us to home school
which has been the biggest blessing of our family life
so far
if homeschooling is something you're considering
afraid of
excited about
or just curious
then we need to talk
i try to respond to everyone
if you think it's ridiculous that i home school
or you have a bunch of odd notions about homeschooling
read this.
stuff and nonsense is a phrase from the book anne of green gables
it was marilla's way of saying
now that's just silly
the phrase struck a chord as a great way to describe our everyday life
and i'm okay with that
because our home here on this planet is ephemeral
but while we're here
we try and fill it with as much
love and passion
as we can
so you have been warned
read at your own peril.
