Sofas and Tables and Things Like That

if you follow my FB page
you know that recently
i scored a yummy sofa
for $20 on Craigslist

now
at the time
i was just hoping to find
a decent couch
for our schoolroom-turned-gameroom

but the nice folks who sold it to us
mentioned that the slipcovered piece
had been purchased originally from Arhaus

and after doing a little online searching
i realized that it was the same sofa
sold by Ballard Designs
Baldwin Sofa Slipcover - Ballard Essentials Fabrics
after dancing a very undignified fandango
i began to realize the possibilities
of new slipcovers
and comfy down-filled cushions

and quickly rearranged my thinking
and then quickly decided to rearrange my furniture

we moved my faithful 9 year old Ektorp couch
a large ottoman and sofa table
from the living room into the old school room

and moved the new sofa
into the living room

the coffee table
is actually our old school table
that i found a couple years ago at a local tag sale
for $10 and asked hubs to cut down

believe me when i tell you
Little Miss and i scrubbed a whole mess
of dried paint and glue off that table top

the little white bookcase
isn't my ideal side table
but it works for now

even though
it was all an unintended switcharoo
i'm really liking how it's all come together
to make a warm and comfy room

although you can't tell in the photos
the slipcover is a little worn around the edges
and will have to be replaced soon

but for now
i'm quite content
with my cozy and eclectically vintage

living room

what fortuitous finds
have you stumbled across lately?
