welcome to
do you know what
i really really like
about meeting you here each week?
disappearing
for just a bit
into your lovely homes
fun projects
and loquacious posts
and never has that been more appealing
than the morning after
my 12 year old son
threw up his dinner
and his mouth appliance
into the toilet
only to have his dad
flush said toilet
without realizing said mouth appliance
floated within
sigh
this mama
laid awake last night
well into the wee hours
wondering how much
time and money
this will set us back
so the thought
of forgetting about stomach bugs
and lost bits of metal and plastic
and thinking about
makeovers
and chocolate
is most appealing at the moment
still with me?
not totally grossed out yet?
good
because i have another announcement
much more pleasant in nature
we have a new Friday friend
to introduce to you today
(drum roll please)
the talented Karen from
she is
a french-at-heart
dumpster diving
furniture painting
freebie loving
witty wife and mum
who makes chic stuff like this

she also hosts
a lovely linky party
each Friday
(great minds think alike, no?)
called

so after linking up here
be sure to head over to
all the other Friday parties my friends host
now
what you've really been waiting for
the features
from last week's
Vivienne from The V Spot created
a fabulous faux antique
weathered clay pot
the sisters from Be Book Bound
showed us how to concoct
these dainty silhouette cookies
how's this for a simple and sweet snack?
chocolate dipped peanut butter crackers
from With a Grateful Prayer and a Thankful Heart
everybody's talking about this perfectly painted
polka-dotted washing machine makeover by Five Days 5 Ways
i think this artwork
painted by Atelier Cecilia Rosslee
is just delightful
these guest room goodie bags
crafted by A Delightsome Life
and filled with stationary
teas
books and chocolate (holla!)
are thoughtful
pretty
and oh-so-welcoming
there are always many more links
than i can feature here
but
did you know
that i like to highlight many of your posts
on the Stuff and Nonsense Facebook Page
and Twitter Page?
i sure do!
so if you're not yet a fan
click here and here to become one
