this morning
i stayed home from church
because of a migraine
with a few medicaments
the headache cleared
and i got a little
bored
so naturally
i decided to do some window treatment
rearranging
i had purchased some
burlap coffee bags from ebay
a few weeks ago
(5 bags for around $10)
with the intention of using them as curtains
in my kitchen
after debating the best way to do this
with myself
(the only sure way to ever win an argument)
i went with the easiest method
as you'll soon see
here is a reminder of the kitchen curtains before
white curtains
with ball trim
and here it is now
i didn't take whole room shots
since my kitchen currently wants a bit of
tidying up
or
as we say around here
'redding up'
obviously
i haven't taken the bags apart to sew a rod pocket
yet
and i don't know if i will
because i like them as is
just hung on cup hooks
screwed into the window frame
here's a close up of one bag
and then
since i had some extra white curtains lying around
i decided to switch out the dining room treatments
before
and
after
(including the family photo that is currently crooked in the frame)
it's now
much lighter and brighter
in the room of my home that is blessed with the least amount
of natural light
hubs isn't sure about those burlap curtains
but i love 'em
not least because they were dirt cheap
what do you think?
