this recipe for
spicy pumpkin warm-up
from the ladies at
gooseberry patch
was featured
and i had to give it a go
just a few ingredients
are required

2 pints whipping cream
1/2 c. sugar
1/3 c. canned pumpkin (i had pumpkin pie mix on hand, so i added less sugar)
1 t. pumpkin pie spice (which i didn't have, so i substituted)
1/2 t. vanilla extract
combine cream and sugar
in a saucepan over medium heat
stir until sugar is dissolved
whisk in pumpkin until well blended
simmer 10 to 15 minutes
or until mixture is warm
pour into jars
garnish with whipped cream
