blooming

the kidlets and i
have spent the past couple of days
out soaking up as much of the
golden sunshine
blue skies
warm breezes
as we can

my fingers had been itching
to get back into the dirt

and i am even happy to weed these days

thought i'm sure that particular urge
will quickly fade

my nikko blue hydrangea
from ebay arrived the other day
and i quickly put her in the ground

i have had much luck with every sort of hydrangea
except the nikkos
which never want to bloom for me

but many of my other perennials and shrubs
are coming to life

this hosta
was dug up from a friend's yard
and transplanted last year

i am slowly adding foundation shrubs to my beds
when they are on sale
i have three azaleas
and two euonymous
that i bought late last summer
on clearance for $3 each

euonymus

i was thrilled to see
that they survived their first winter here

a neighbor gave me clumps of this little beauty
it has spotted leaves and blooms quite early
in may with pink and purple blooms

it's name

lungwort

doesn't quite seem to fit

one of my darlings
old fashioned lilac
so fragrant

i have been able to 4 or 5 starts from this tree
to plant in other parts of my garden

and now
my latest mystery plant

we had an ugly tree blow down a couple months ago
and when it was finally chopped up and removed
this little gem was discovered cowering underneath

i adore it's delicate white flowers
which
seem to have no scent

can any of you tell me what it's called?
